Renowned for it’s Botanical beauty, Madeira Island is now attracting the attention of bird and nature lovers alike.

Madeira Birdwatching Experience is a project between three select hotels, a responsible eco-tourism company (Madeira Wind Birds) and a well regarded travel agency (Windsor) that have a passion for preserving Madeira's Nature and appreciate the significant contribution that it has to offer to the bird loving community.

We have developed a number of packages to best suit your requirements, ranging from 3 to 5 days with an extra day option in the summer programmes. Combine the most relaxing walks, excursions and beautiful landscapes to experience Madeira's dazzling birds, flora and geology.

With one hotel on the North Coast (Quinta do Furão) and 2 on the South (Casa Velha do Palheiro and Choupana Hills), the hotels are as diverse as the nature around them, with each hotel offering a unique perspective of Madeira.
