Destination is Cape Girão, one of the highest capes in the world. Leaving from Funchal’s marina the boat goes some 2 to 3 miles away from shore to try to observe some seabirds, dolphins, turtles and maybe whales. Then it heads to the clear waters under Cape Girão where one may go for a swim. The way back to Funchal is nearer the coast so you may appreciate some details of the south coast of Madeira.
